Why the Pace You Set as a Leader Matters More Than You Think

There was a time when I believed exhaustion was simply part of leadership.

Long days. Late nights. A full calendar worn like a badge of honor. Somewhere along the way, “busy” became synonymous with commitment—and rest quietly disappeared from the conversation.

The pace a leader sets becomes the permission a team follows.

Whether we realize it or not, our habits communicate expectations more loudly than any handbook or staff memo ever could.
